One skill that distinguishes me from many other Graphic Designers is my background as an artist. My experience in drawing and painting, both digital and traditional, allows me to integrate custom illustrations into client projects, elevating the overall design with unique, tailor-made visuals. By creating custom illustrations, I ensure that each project is unique and aligns seamlessly with the client’s vision and needs.

Many designers rely on stock images and pre-made assets when creating. While those components certainly have their time and place for use, custom illustrations give designs a distinctive, hand-crafted feel. By being able to create exactly what the client envisions, I am able to streamline the design process and reduce potential licensing costs.

I primarily use Adobe Illustrator for digital drawing, while Adobe Photoshop serves as a valuable tool for refining and adjusting reference image compositions as needed. Illustration is a passion of mine, and I take great pride in delivering creative, high-quality visuals that enhance the outcome of every project. Plus, they’re super fun!

Michael’s Dairy at Mitchell College, a beloved on-campus ice cream shop, commissioned a series of custom-illustrated signs to enhance their store’s décor. They envisioned signage with a vintage ice cream parlor aesthetic, incorporating retro-inspired fonts and shapes that harmonize with the illustrations. Each piece showcases one of their signature menu items, capturing the nostalgic charm of classic ice cream shops. The client was thrilled with the final designs and eagerly anticipates displaying them in the store.
